About Artscape Land Design

Artscape Land Design is a landscape architecture firm that provides professional design and installation services for residential and commercial clients throughout the New Orleans area. The main goal of Artscape Land Design is to transform land into works of art with innovative plans drawn by only licensed landscape architects. Our company designs commercial and residential plans to implement outdoor elements such as plant materials, irrigation, lighting, brick/stone patios, driveways and walkways, wood decks, and water features such as pools, ponds and fountains.

Kirk J. Colgan, A.S.L.A, the company's owner and principal landscape architect, has almost 20 years of experience designing and constructing landscape environments. He received a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University in 1992. He has been licensed in the state of Louisiana in landscape architecture and landscape contracting since 1995 and is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects. Artscape Land Design has been in business since 1999, is a member of the Better Business Bureau and the American Society of Landscape Architects (A.S.L.A), and is fully insured.

Artscape designs its landscape environments to be not only beautiful, but also functional and easy to maintain. The goal is to have all landscape elements work together in harmony - like a work of art. We begin by consulting with our clients then taking that information to design and draft landscape plans that are imaginative and innovative. Other than the actual landscape plans, Artscape also drafts irrigation, grading, drainage, lighting and detail plans. Kirk J. Colgan has designed landscape plans for almost twenty years for thousands of residential clients in and around the New Orleans area.

In addition, our clients have the option of hiring us for the implementation process. The company will professionally install their designs, using landscaping, hardscaping, water features and lighting to bring the plan design to fruition. In our landscape planting installations, we use the healthiest plant materials, richest soil and highest grade of mulch. Artscape Land Design is also a certified dealer of Pavestone and Belgard brand brick pavers and natural stone products such as flagstone, slate and ceramic tile. We utilize these materials to design and professionally install, decorative patios, driveways, walkways and retaining walls.
